new studio and good news

Today I agreed to sublet a studio at Vernon St in Somerville, MA for the months of July and August. I hope to find something in the same building for September so it can be an easy move.
In January of 2012 I will have a studio perched on the south rim of the Grand Canyon, where I will be the artist in residence.

Today I put my paints in a box and taped it shut. I put the box in my truck right away, although I have no where to bring it.

I hope I find a studio soon.

I'm packing up my current studio at UMass. I'm looking for a new one in Somerville, MA. Hopefully it will be a quick transition - I have a ton of large work in progress.

Phil’s Hill was logged sometime in October.

On November 6, my father took me to see the destruction.

I expected to see orderly rows of stumps, I am not sure why. Instead it was chaos. We had to climb over the tops of trees that were left behind.
